Walalangi & Partners (in association with Nishimura & Asahi) Personal Data Protection focus group just completed an exclusive two-days in-house seminar on Personal Data Protection for Ajinomoto group companies in Indonesia.
We provided Ajinomoto with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental concepts of personal data protection in Indonesia, outlining the essential dos and don’ts for full regulatory compliance including the key obligations under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Act. Over 200 participants consisting of various divisions and branches attended and actively engaged throughout the sessions, raising various questions both on the theoretical and practical aspects of the PDP Act.
Additionally, we assisted Ajinomoto in developing internal personal data management policies and privacy notices tailored for their employees, vendors, and customers—ensuring not only compliance with legal standards but also alignment with Ajinomoto’s operational needs and corporate values.
At Walalangi & Partners, we are committed to providing our clients with holistic support that extends beyond traditional legal services. Our seminars are designed not just to share knowledge but to empower clients with actionable strategies for real-world application.
The seminar was led by Senior Associates Sinta Dwi Cestakarani and Andhika Indrapraja, together with Jovico Honanda, Kathleen Cateliya, and Friliantari Putri, with comprehensive guidance from our partners Luky Walalangi and Miriam Andreta.
